This seminar is a continuation of our October 2019 Resurgence! event. The last event convened more than 80 persons from eighteen Cal-Pac congregations. Based on the book: Resurgence: Navigating the Changing Ministry Landscape by Dr. Candace Lewis & Dr. Rodney Smothers, the Resurgence! Laboratory is a creative space for lay & clergy leaders from Black congregations in the Cal-Pac Conference to:

1. engage leading practitioners and thought leaders of Black congregations within the United Methodist connection
2. discern, develop and implement innovative disciple-making ministries in Black local churches in the Cal-Pac Conference
3. in response to the Bishop’s request in October 2019, finalize and develop a 3-year strategic plan for Black congregations in Cal-Pac to be submitted to the Bishop by April 30, 2020
