The Justice and Compassion Grant is awarded to laity, clergy, congregations, and communities who are meaningfully engaged in ministries of justice and compassion locally and globally. The Justice and Compassion Essential Ministries Team (JCEMT) supports a wide variety of new and ongoing programs which are connected to the people of the United Methodist Church (UMC).

Please be aware that we are focusing on engaging ministries which are working at Ending Spiritual and Physical Hunger. We know that this covers many different areas of ministry and are open to applications from across our entire conference.

We particularly encourage applications from cooperative ministries (those involving several UM churches, religious organizations, and outside agencies).

Please also note that the JCEMT Grants awarded in 2022 will carry a maximum limit of $5,000.

Application deadline is July 1, 2022.
