It is with sadness that we inform you of the death of Rev. James Lawson Jr., a retired member of the California-Pacific Conference, on June 9, 2024. A previous message regarding Rev. Lawson’s passing can be viewed at this link.

Rev. Lawson is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and two of their children, John and Morris.

A wake will be held:

Friday, July 5, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm at
Angelus Funeral Home
3875 Crenshaw Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90008

During the wake, there will be an open microphone for those who wish to share tributes and remembrances.

A memorial service will be held:

Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 11 am at
Holman United Methodist Church
3320 W. Adams Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90018

There will be no formal procession of clergy at the memorial service.
A repast will follow.
