At the 2024 Annual Conference, the journey of our conference toward greater sustainability, equity, and transparency was shared. Part of that journey included welcoming a new interim treasurer, Christy Drenner, and announcing the intention to continue working toward new budget processes and priorities in collaboration with conference and local church leaders. Later in the Annual Conference, Christy Drenner, our Executive Director of Connectional Ministries, Erin Hawkins, and other members of our Connectional Table and Council on Finance and Administration participated in a panel on the role of the Annual Conference in ensuring a flourishing future. We discussed questions such as “Where are we now as an Annual Conference?” and “What are the key realities we must face as a conference?” You can watch this discussion on our YouTube channel at this link.
At the end of that panel, you were invited to answer three questions about the needs of the local church, and we are now asking that you and your local church answer these same questions. This survey is one of the tools that the Conference Council on Finance and Administration and the Connectional Table will use to review the current realities of our churches and better plan priorities that support vital and transformative ministry.
Please take a few minutes to prayerfully answer the survey questions. This survey will close at the end of the day on Friday, August 23, 2024. Your voice is essential to the work ahead as we prepare for the Special Called Session of Annual Conference on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 3:00 PM.

Leading up to the Special Called Session, the proposed budget will be released by September 20, 2024, followed by an information session on the evening of September 24, led by Christy Drenner.
