About the Class:

  • Clergy Members and Lay Persons Assigned are invited to participate.
  • Provide your own book: Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life by Richard Rohr (Amazon | Cokesbury). You may also (optional) be interested in Falling Upward: A Companion Journal (Amazon | Cokesbury).
  • Bring your lunch or breakfast to enjoy as we learn together.
  • This course is sponsored by Connectional Ministries via a new strategy group called the “Second Half of Life Ministry Group”, and will be facilitated by Rev. Dr. Denyse Barnes, Director of Justice & Compassion Ministries.
  • Classes are open to participants from all districts, noting that completing the class requires travel to Pasadena for a one-day retreat.
  • Technical requirements for Zoom participants: To participate in Zoom meetings, participants must have a reliable Internet connection, and a  laptop, tablet, or smartphone device that can download and install the  Zoom app. A web or phone camera and a microphone are highly recommended,  although some users may call in via phone if a mic is not available. 
  • Zoom information is included in your confirmation email and submission message.
