“988” The National Hotline For Mental Health Crises And Suicide Prevention:

  • The 988 Lifeline offers 24/7 calls, chats, or texts from anyone who needs support for suicidal, mental health, and/or substance use crisis, and connects those in need with trained crisis counselors. There are many reasons that people connect with the 988 Lifeline. Some examples in addition to thoughts of suicide are feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, sexual orientation worries, drinking too much, drug use, feeling depressed, mental and physical illness, loneliness, trauma, relationships, and economic worries. People can also call, text or chat 988 if they are worried about a loved one who may need crisis support.
