Logic Model: A Way to Develop Effective Ministry

We recommend gathering your leadership team or team of twelve or core group prior to engaging in ministry.  We suggest using the Logic Model flow chart below and the pertinent evaluation questions sighted below in preparation, during and after engaging in a ministry program.

Please answer the questions below:

  • What is the problem to be addressed?
  • What is the goal to address the problem?
  • What resources (equipment, contacts, funding, furniture, art, supplies), collaboration, people, technology do we need?
  • What are the activities involved in the program/ministry? 
  • What are the outputs (what you will produce) from the activities?
  • What are the outcomes (the short and long-term changes) from the outputs (what is produced)? What will the internal and external impact be as a result of the ministry outputs (what is produced)?
  • How will this impact achieve the goal to address the problem?
  • What are the assumptions & rationale for the overall ministry plan?
