The Spanish American Institute (SAI) Latino Youth Scholarship application process is open. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 17, 2026. Click here to find more information about how to apply.

Scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded. In partnership with the TELACU Education Foundation (TEF), scholarships for $2,000 in memory of SAI Gardena Alumnus Cesar Lizárraga are also available.

Student Eligibility

• Must be a member of a local CalPac United Methodist Church
• Must be in service with the local church for a minimum of one year
• Provide a Letter of Recommendation from the Local Pastor/Youth Leader
• Completes the SAI/UMC application process

To apply for the scholarship, fill out the online application and provide the requested documents. Recipients will be notified by the end of May. Recognition of scholarship awards will occur at the CalPac UMC Annual Conference in June.
