Astonished by Stillness Space (AC2026)

You are invited to the Astonished by Stillness space during Annual Conference 2026: a chill, contemplative, “come and go” spiritual space to experience a “mini-retreat” when you need it most!

There are a million moving parts at Annual Conference, and it can be overwhelming. This stillness space will be available for anyone at AC from 11 AM on Wednesday until 1 PM on Saturday. Thursday and Friday, we open at 7 AM and close at 11 PM. A canvas labyrinth will be available from 2 PM on Thursday until 2 PM on Friday.

The space will be coordinated by Rev. Marlene Urban-Funk, the Associate Director of Retreat Ministries for Cal-Pac. It is designed to be low-stim and contemplative for anyone at AC. It may be used by members in times of breaks or when attendees are not engaged in sessions, business, or meals. Guests at AC are also welcome anytime.

If you or someone you know is in need of some chill and regulating space, please take the opportunity to be Astonished by Stillness. Even in the midst of business, busyness, and conferencing, there can be moments of stillness.

WEDNESDAY (Open at 11 AM):

  • Journaling prayer station with prompts (journals and pens provided)
  • Candle Lotus prayer station (spring in the desert reflection)
  • Linked Prayer Chain with previous AC themes prayer station (Nourish, Cherish, Flourish and Astonish)
  • Gratitude Board prayer station (Stickers and easel boards)
  • Adult fidget toys regulation space

 

THURSDAY (Open at 7 AM):

  • Journaling prayer station with prompts (journals and pens provided)
  • Visio Divina self-led prayer station
  • Adult fidget toys regulation space

(2 PM ADD)

  • Canvas labyrinth prayer station (half of the room) – guiding prompts
  • (Possible) sound healing offering

 

FRIDAY (Open at 7 AM):

  • Canvas labyrinth prayer station (half of the room) – guiding prompts for anyone that wants them
  • Journaling prayer station with prompts (journals and pens provided)
  • Visio Divina self-led prayer station
  • Adult fidget toys regulation space

(2 PM – roll up labyrinth)

  • Watercolor Prayer flags station
  • Decorative Word Art prayer station

 

SATURDAY (Open at 7 AM)

  • Journaling prayer station with prompts (journals and pens provided)
