To all Lay and Clergy Members of the California-Pacific Annual Conference Session:
I pray that you had a restorative summer and are continuing the good and astonishing work in your ministries throughout our conference.
As we enter fall, I want to ask you to save the dates for our 2027 Annual Conference session. We will gather June 16-19, 2027 in La Quinta under the theme of Outlandish. During this time, we will center ourselves on John 21:1-17, where through Jesus, the disciples were empowered to do something they had been finding impossible. In this passage, we discover that even something as simple as fishing can bear outlandish results. Beginning in the new year, you will hear more from our sessions team as we share preparations and instructions for our time together.
In recent history, our conference has gathered together the week leading up to Father’s Day. This will be true again in 2027. As our Conference Secretary mentioned at this year’s conference, we are considering shifting our dates in future years, perhaps starting in 2028. Your participation in this survey will help us discern future date decisions, and support our sessions team in planning.
