National Federation of Asian American United Methodists (NFAAUM), in partnership with General Commission on Religion and Race (GCORR), will be hosting a training for youth and young adults to participate in on April 13-15, 2020.
At this event in San Diego, CA, attendees will be trained to organize their respective faith communities to support and advocate for immigrants, asylum seekers and refugees at this critical moment.
Expected outcomes include:
- Learning about the current immigration issues impacting communities
- Learning about the theological basis for faith communities to stand in solidarity with immigrants
- Learning about “faith rooted organizing”
- Learning about power mapping
