Update: Due to overwhelming response, the deadline to complete the survey has been extended to midnight of January 26, 2020. We hope you will take this opportunity to share your thoughts at this important time.
Following up on the Listening Posts held between October and December of 2019, the 2020 General Conference and Jurisdictional Conference Delegation is inviting the Cal-Pac Conference to participate in a survey in the following letter:
Dear California-Pacific Annual Conference,
These are challenging times for our denomination, and we are working diligently to ensure that all of the voices in our conference are heard as we process and prepare for our next steps. We are curious about your questions, your hopes, and your dreams. We are hopeful for the church’s future, and encourage you to remember that the power is in your hands to effect the changes you hope to see.
We have hosted Listening Posts around the Annual Conference and with different caucuses, so that each voice in every corner of the conference has a chance to be heard. Paper surveys were given and completed at each listening post. However, even if you haven’t had the chance to participate in a listening post, your input is invaluable.
Everyone in the Cal-Pac Conference is encouraged to complete this 5 minute survey. This will help our delegation and the Annual Conference leadership get a sense of where we are as a body, and guide our responses and work in the coming year.
Because the results of this survey are so important, please share with your pastors, congregations, and on your social media pages so that we might hear from as many people as possible. It will be open until Sunday, January 12 at midnight.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and feelings as we prepare together for the year ahead.
Blessings and Gratitude,
The 2020 General Conference and Jurisdictional Conference Delegation
