Bishop Grant Hagiya intends to appoint the following pastors as of July 1, 2021:

Rev. Dr. Siosaia Tu’itahi from the Santa Ana UMC to East District Superintendent. Rev. Tu’itahi has served the Tongan Ministry Fellowship of the Santa Ana UMC since 2008.

Rev. Matthew Seargeant as Lead Pastor for Mesa Verde UMC. Pastor Matt will succeed the Rev. Brent Criswell who will enter the retired relationship with the California-Pacific Conference on June 30, 2021.

Rev. Rick Uhls as Lead Pastor for Shepherd of the Hills UMC, Mission Viejo/Rancho Santa Margarita. Pastor Rick will succeed the Rev. F. Karl Stuckenberg who will move to St. Andrews By the Sea, San Clemente, on July 1, 2021.

Rev. Luis Garcia as Lead Pastor for St. Paul’s UMC of San Diego/Chollas View UMC. Pastor Luis will succeed Rev. Dr. Eugenio Raphael who will enter the retired relationship with the California-Pacific Conference on June 30, 2021.

Rev. Sunyoung Lee as Lead Pastor for Riviera UMC in Redondo Beach. Pastor Sunyoung will succeed Rev. Amy Aitken who will move to the First UMC of Pasadena on July 1, 2021.

Rev. Ki Tae Choi as Lead Pastor for Centenary UMC. Pastor Ki Tae will succeed the Rev. Sunyoung Lee who will move to Riviera UMC on July 1, 2021.

Pastor Christian Jung as Lead Pastor for First UMC of Reseda. Pastor Christian, who will be commissioned as a provisional member on the elder track this June at the Annual Conference session, will succeed Rev. Tonya Harris who will go on personal leave.

As “The Call Continues” to move forward in ministry, pastors who are confirmed to new appointments will be announced to the Conference as a whole. Let us hold every congregation in prayer as the body of Christ rises again!
