We are stunned and saddened to learn of the recent arrest and arraignment of Rev. Dr. John McFarland.

We reiterate our unequivocal opposition to abuse or misconduct of any kind, especially against children. We continue to be engaged in this matter as a top priority and we will fully cooperate with law enforcement.

As we previously announced, Rev. McFarland was suspended from all clergy duties in December, 2018. He remains inactive today.

In this difficult time, let us be in prayer for all affected.
