Lazy W Ranch High School camp is looking for adult counselors this July 21-27, 2019. Adults of at least 22 years old are eligible, though do not think this is only for young people! Some of our best counselors are retired adults.

Counselors are really at camp to spend time with High School campers. Sure, you will also lead discussions. Of course, you will often walk with campers to fun activities. But the essence of the role is to be a conversation partner with young people.

In previous years, counselors were expected to do a lot of prep work. This year, we have changed that. While you are certainly invited to be involved in planning camp, counselors are also free to simply be counselors. This also helps to cut down on pre-camp meetings.

Expected responsibilities of volunteers: Attend camp training on June 8, also June 9 training if first time volunteering at camp, and spend 1 week at Lazy W Ranch with HS camp (July 21-27, 2019)

Expected qualifications of volunteers: 22-years-old or older
and committed Christ Follower (not necessarily United Methodist)
