For persons now Lay Servants or those wishing to serve their churches through this ministry of Caring, Communicating or Leading, this event is for the purpose of equipping lay leaders with caring and outreach skills to succeed in lay leadership.

The event is laity-led, but it is open to clergy and laity alike.

The Keynote Speaker, Dr. Glena Kyker Brayton, comes to us with vast experience in serving others through caring ministries.

There are choices of workshops, including :

• “Becoming a Disability Friendly Church” led by Sharon McCarty
• “Loving the Stranger”, led by Pastor Arturo Rodriguez
• “Invitation to Visiting Ministries” led by Rev. Amy Rosenbaum
• “Ministering to an Aging Congregation” led by Rev. Nancy Self
• “Ministering to Those Behind Bars” let by Rev. Tom Rothhaar

In addition there will be six Information Tables offering information on Prison Ministry, Get on the Bus, Disability Ministries, Stephen’s Ministries, Immigration Task Force and Disaster Response.
