A day for fun and relaxation for Kinship Families. An opportunity to meet and make new friends and network with others for greater support.
Of the 18,000 foster children in Los Angeles County 9,000 live with a relative caregiver, usually a grandparent, aunt or uncle. With little or no warning and no compensation these men & women step up and provide loving care to these children in crisis.
United Methodist churches in the South Bay (Hope, El Segundo, Faith, and Redondo First ) have joined together to offer support to these “kinship” foster families.
