UMC Global Ministries’ Missionary Joy Prim, deaconess, will be in southern California in April. Come and learn about her service to Overseas Workers!
Joy is a member of the California-Pacific Conference and served Philippine immigrants at the Filipino Migrant Center in Long Beach before being assigned to Hong Kong in the middle of the pandemic.
This event is for anyone who is interested in the work the United Methodist Church is doing in the world, primarily United Methodists but also anyone else who wants to know what missionaries do in the 21st Century.

Joy Prim will speak in person to a live audience, and it will also be livestreamed on Irvine University UMC’s YouTube channel. Joy will describe her work and what a typical week looks like for her – the people she works with and the people she serves, what life in Hong Kong is like, etc. She will answer questions from the audience.
