Provides piano/organ music for worship services and other occasional gatherings.
Position requires 1.5 hours on Sunday mornings (service time: 10 am to 11 am) with an additional service on Christmas Eve (service time: 4 pm to 5 pm). There may be opportunities for musical needs for memorial services or special occasion services.
Specific Responsibilities: Provides piano/organ music for worship services – Prelude, Postlude and accompanying two to three hymns; provides accompaniment for rehearsals if necessary; coordinates/cooperates with the pastor and worship team. At this time, the church does not have a choir, so there are no midweek rehearsals. Skills Required: knowledge of church music and repertoire helpful; play piano and organ proficiently; ability to sight-read music is a plus. Accompany soloists in rehearsals and services, as necessary. Our worship style is casual, relational and inclusive. The pianist/organist should arrive 20 minutes before the start of worship to set temps and review music as needed with the pastor and worship leaders. Salary or Pay Range
$150.00 – $200.00 per service, commensurate with experience.
