The Board of Directors for United Methodist Insurance (UMI), the insurance company for the denomination’s local churches and a fully-owned, not-for-profit subsidiary of the General Council on Finance and Administration, is announcing the election of Rev. Dr. Stephen C. Hundley as President and Chief Executive Officer and Mike Plesko as Chief Operating Officer, effective June 1, 2016.
Moses Kumar, chief executive for the General Council on Finance and Administration said “When we look at the totality of the needs in leadership for the organization, both bring their fields of expertise in insurance and knowledge of the Church to their roles. We look forward to the innovative ways they will enhance this ministry in service to the local churches of our denomination.”
Rev. Hundley has been serving the California-Pacific Conference as Executive Director of Connectional Ministries and was formerly a District Superintendent in the Virginia Conference of The United Methodist Church.
